MODEL COMPARISON
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?
AIR VS. AIR + PWR
The primary difference between the models is that the Ski-Row Air features air-flywheel resistance ONLY, while the Ski-Row Air+Pwr features air-flywheel AND magnetic resistance.
The Primary Difference
The primary difference between the models is that the Ski-Row Air features air-flywheel resistance ONLY, while the Ski-Row Air + Pwr features air-flywheel AND magnetic resistance.
It Gets Even Better
When raised in the ski trainer position, magnetic resistance allows the ski trainer to essentially become a dual high-pulley machine with a very safe resistance mechanism. We’ve created numerous videos of “alternative” uses. This is a very powerful tool in the hands of a trainer or in a home/garage gym.
Why Does Magnetic Resistance Matter?
Adding magnetic resistance effectively raises the starting point of the resistance curve, while still giving you the benefit of air-flywheel resistance. When you only have air resistance, the level of difficulty will vary based on the speed at which you pull.
When you add magnetic resistance, you get a constant tension no matter how fast or slow you go. Magnetic resistance also allows you to control your difficulty directly from the monitor, rather than utilizing a damper.
Which One Should You Get?
Either model, the Ski-Row Air or the Ski-Row Air + Pwr, are excellent for almost any HIIT or cardio-based workout. If you’re looking to sweat, either model will do. If you want a more dynamic way to control your resistance, or if you want to add pulley-based exercises to your workout, then you may want to upgrade to magnetic resistance with the Ski-Row Air + Pwr.
